Scenar pain relief treatment technology

Scenar is an acronym of Self-Controlled Energy Neuro-Adaptive Regulator and is one of the most advanced pieces of pain relief treatment technology currently available. Scenar uses electrical impulses to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes, primarily for pain relief and rehabilitation.

Acute and Chronic conditions

Scenar therapy has been shown to be effective in reducing pain associated with range of acute and chronic conditions including musculoskeletal injuries, joint pain, back and shoulder pain, arthritis sciatica and plantar fasciitis.

The device sends out a series of electrical signals that interact with the body’s own electrical impulses and establishes a feedback link with the body. It continuously adjusts the electrical signal depending on the measured reaction from the body. It’s like having a conversation with your nervous system!

During treatment you may feel a slight tingling or buzzing sensation from the device but it should not be painful. Scenar therapy is very safe with minimal side effects.

How many sessions will I need?

How many sessions are required depends on the individual condition. A recent, acute injury may only require two or three treatments over a period of a few days. Whilst more longstanding, chronic conditions will require a longer period of time.

Can I have Scenar treatment if I am having other therapies?

Scenar combines well with other treatment modalities. It pairs well with physical therapies such as massage, osteopathy and soft tissue therapy; as well as red light therapy and homeopathy.

Is Scenar therapy safe?

Scenar devices have been used for decades an have a good safety profile. There may be mild side effects such as a slight reddening of the skin in the area treated. Some people report a temporary increase in pain or feeling tired for a day or two after treatment but these effects should be seen as positive and an indication that the body is responding to therapy and starting the healing process.

Is Scenar Therapy suitable for everyone?

Scenar therapy will NOT be offered if:

You have a heart pacemaker or other implanted electrical devices such as Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD).
Are prone to seizures
You are pregnant.
